Fontys University of Applied Sciences

Fontys is a leading European University of Applied Sciences. It has 29 institutes throughout the country offering international programmes in English, Dutch, and a mix of German, Dutch and English called the Euregional stream. The university has several campuses in the South-East of the Netherlands near the border with Germany and Belgium, one of the most dynamic regions in Europe. With more than 100 study programmes, 4.100 employees and over 42.000 students, Fontys is one of the major Dutch universities of applied sciences and one of the largest educational institutions in the Netherlands. Over 4.000 students are from abroad; they come from more than 70 countries in the world.

The three largest Fontys campuses are located in the cities of Eindhoven, Tilburg and Venlo. Right at the border to Germany, Fontys has established the International Campus Venlo which has built up experience and reputation on an international scope over the past years. In addition to the Dutch study programmes, the International Campus Venlo offers international bachelor and master programmes taught in English and a mix of German, Dutch and English in the Euregional stream. Currently, Fontys International Campus Venlo is home to over 4.000 students of whom 70 percent are from abroad and come from over 40 different countries (the majority being from Germany).
