Cardiff Metropolitan University: Institutional Review (Hybrid Model) May 2014

The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), the independent body entrusted with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in UK higher education, has confirmed that the academic standards and quality of provision at Cardiff Metropolitan University meet UK expectations.

The QAA reviewers visited Cardiff Metropolitan University and a sample of its collaborative partners in April and May 2014 and judged that academic standards, the quality of student learning opportunities, the quality of information about learning opportunities and the enhancement of student learning opportunities all meet UK expectations.

Cardiff has been named one of the most cost-effective student cities in the UK 2018 by the Natwest Student Living Index 2018 and 16th in the UK for the best nightlife by the Which University Student Survey.

As the Welsh capital, Cardiff boasts an excellent year-round calendar of events, hosting major sporting events like the recent UEFA Champions League Final, heavyweight championship boxing and annual six nations fixtures, major theatre productions, and big-name touring comedy acts and musicians. Top this off with a variety of quirkier events like street food festivals, pop-ups, and secret cinemas, and you’ll find that there’s always something different to do here.

At Cardiff Met we’re committed to providing you with an outstanding student experience. We work in partnership with you to instill the Cardiff Met EDGE – a series of Ethical, Digital, Global and Entrepreneurial skills to develop your confidence, resilience and experiences that will prepare you for life after university and through to employment.
